Welcome to KINZ Student Services

KINZ Education is dedicated in providing student support and welfare to ensure the well being of every student.

Experienced and knowledgeable staff will provide the highest level of support and cultural understanding to every student. KINZ  maintains regular student attendance records and follows up poor attendees. KINZ  wishes to ensure that students receive a great return on their education and complete their course and qualifications. For specific help and support, please contact  our student advisors.   Student Welfare is  our  priority at KINZ. We have several student advisors on campus to assist you. Our advisors speak a variety of languages – English, Chinese, Korean,  Hindi, Urdu  On the first day of your enrolment you will be designated a student advisor who will look after you during your study with us
Please do not hesitate to speak to our staff on any issues that affect you and your stay in New Zealand. If your problem is of a serious nature, we will refer you to a suitable external agency / counselor who will be able to provide you with the care and assistance you require.

Academic Advising

On the orientation days, students will be provided with many useful information regarding their courses, classes, schedules, books and stationery.  In addition to the orientation day academic advising, the advisors and teachers will send out updated reports on grades, progress and any concerns via the student email system. This means that students MUST check their student emails on a frequent basis to receive the latest news and updates. Email is the most important and most effective way of reaching students by their teachers and management staff at KINZ Education. Thus, it is the student’s responsibility to check their emails as often calling/communicating in person is difficult to coordinate.
If there are any problems with your grades or academic updates sent to you via student email, please talk to the student service staff immediately and they will be happy to assist you.

Student Service staff will inform you of the institute’s academic regulations and answer questions about registration, programs of study, tutoring, proficiency testing, and other academic matters.

Special Needs and Disabilities

Students MUST inform the school of any special needs and/or disabilities. If students have special needs of disabilities please let the staff know in advance (before enrollment) if there needs to be pre-planning or special care. Such special needs could be wheelchair access, vegetarian requirements (in practical classes), allergies to foods or restriction of food types for religious purposes, colour blindness etc. In certain circumstances we may not have the facilities to meet special requirements but management staff will inform students before they attend classes.

All students must inform the management staff BEFORE enrollment of any circumstances that may affect or hinder their ability to complete their coursework. If not, students must take full responsibility for failing coursework or doing worse than their potential and the school is not liable to provide the opportunity to redo coursework or provide exemptions.

Student Fee Protection

When you arrive, a member of our student services team will give you a tour of the building and an information pack about the school and the area. They will discuss with you all the things you need to know and make sure that you are settling into your new surroundings.  For more information please read your student handbook carefully.  Please come to school at 9:30AM, The school orientation will begin on 10AM. There is a lot to know apart from what will be going on in the classroom such as accommodation, transportation modes and where to buy discounted student tickets, adjusting in NZ, food, culture, school rules and visa regulations as a international student. Other key areas to learn about include information about qualifications,  road safety information, assistance with the opening of bank accounts and the purchasing of medical insurance. Students may approach the student services team   at any time during their studies at our school for assistance and advice.
